2022 Safety Data - There have been zero recordable injuries or accidents company wide.

Safety training for our employees include 10/30 hour OSHA training in the construction industry, Hazardous communications, 40-hour Hazwoper/8 hour annual refresher training, Stormwater Pollution Prevention training (annual refresher), in-house heavy equipment training, fugitive Pollution Prevention training (annual refresher), in-house heavy equipment training, fugitive dust training, employee and site air monitoring for silica and heavy metals exposure.

 

 

Health and Safety Director- David Messer

Over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry.

David is a 23-year retired U.S. Navy Safety Officer with extensive experience operating heavy equipment. He is a certified OSHA Outreach Trainer with experience educating workers on topics such as fall protection, equipment operation, crane safety, trenching/excavation, Personal Protection Equipment, fire prevention and protection, first-aid/CPR, site safety audits, OSHA recordkeeping, air sampling techniques, high-angle rescue, and confined space. David has an extensive positive safety record working with such companies as Duke Energy, Bluegrass Energy, Kentucky Utilities, Ford Motor Company, Toyota Manufacturing, Honda North America, Vestas, John Deere, British Petroleum Renewable Energy, General Electric, Department of Defense, RMT Inc.


COVID-19 Preparedness Plan

CLP is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all our employees, clients and the community. To ensure we have as safe and healthy workplace, we have developed the following COVID-19 Preparedness Plan in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Managers and workers are all responsible for implementing this plan. Our goal is to mitigate the potential for transmission of COVID-19 in our workplaces and communities, and that requires full cooperation among our employees. Through this cooperative effort we establish and maintain the safety and health of our workers and workplaces.


Our employees are our most important assets. We are serious about safety and health. We have involved our employees in this process requesting suggestions and such suggestions have been integrated into developing the plan. Our COVID-19 Preparedness Plan follows Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and federal OSHA standards related to COVID-19 and Executive Order 20-48, and addresses:

•     Hygiene and respiratory etiquette;

•             Engineering and administrative controls for social distancing;

•             Cleaning, disinfecting, decontamination and ventilation;

•             Communications and training that will be provided to managers and workers; and

•             Management and supervision necessary to ensure effective implementation of the plan.

•             Protection and controls for pick-up, drop-off and delivery;


In addition, a policy has been implemented to protect the privacy of workers’ health status and health information.
